Hi!!!!! I'm back with our last post for Taiwan!
We made an impromtu decision to visit Hua Lien (花莲) since my mom never seen it before.
Thankfully, the front desk in our Hotel was very friendly. He helped us settle our HSR tickets and even introduce some tour guides for us! As we were travelling during Taiwan's National Day, many HSR tickets were OOS. We took the earliest train at 6:00AM.
We paid 3000NT for the day tour.
After which, we met up with our tour guide - Ms Gu. I read many reviews on tripadvisors.com about her! She stopped along a Muah Chee (麻芝) factory to try the local product! I love it soooo much!!
The car ride to Taroko National Park (太鲁阁国家公园) took about 1-2 hours uphill. Sadly, due to erosion and national disasters, we weren't able to view some spots!
^ As shown, our first stopover was Shimizu Cliff (清水断崖)
It was soooo amazing! The work of nature is soooo amazing! You can see shades of blue just by looking at the sea! The dark blue area is reaching towards Pacific Ocean (mentioned by Ms Gu)

Continued the journey uphill....
Our 2nd stopover was Taroko Archway (太鲁阁牌楼).
We can probably tell the sun was quite scorching! I couldn't open my eyes wide enough for pictures.
**Remember to bring your sunglasses to Taroko!
We stopped by a car-resting point to rest for awhile. The scenery was awesome. Couldn't resist to take a photo! (Ok maybe I took alot of photos hahahah)
Bob the builder, can we fix it~
Continued our journey uphill again! We visited Swallow Trail (燕子口步道) with the smelly 'construction-looking' helmets! It was supposed to protect us from the falling rocks.
**Remember to wear the helmets!!! cause I witnessed a rock falling right in front of me.
Again... we continued the journey uphill in search of the The Poplar Trails (白楊步道)
It is not accessible by motor vehicles so you have to walk to find it yourself!!!
The Poplar Trails is like a tunnel/cave and you'll walk in and witness water falling right in front of your eyes!
They named it as 'water curtain in the dark'
MUST GO CHECK IT OUT

Our last stopovers were Mother Bridge (慈母桥) and 岳王亭.
The rock shows a 'frog' and the temple sitting on the rock is a 'crown'.
Many locals call it as 'frog prince' (as mentioned by Ms Gu)

That ended our day tour around Taroko Park! We visited a few places too but the above our the main attractions of the area. Ms Gu treated us to Fried Spring Onion Egg Pancake (炸蛋葱油饼).
Sadly our HSR train departs at 7pm if not we would be able to visit their Night market too.
** Plan early so that you won't experience the same things as me

That's the end of the entire Taiwan trip!! Hopefully I did give you some info in some way or another :-)
Till my next post sweethearts x
