Taiwan: Day 5

Look who motivated herself to continue blogging about the rest of the Taiwan Trip.... Not really, my mom just wants me to jot everything down in case I forget about it one day. She agrees that I'm a goldfish :(

Don't say I'm forgetful (even though I know I am)
I'll be angry and stare hard at you.
Watch out.
I kid.

For day 5, we started off our day quite late. We took the train down to Xin Dian MRT Station for Bi Tan. There is a well-known suspension bridge along there. When you cross over to the bridge, there is a popular food street selling all sorts of Taiwanese Street Food :)

Finally.... I dared to try Smelly Tofu (臭豆腐)

Tadah!! The legendary Smelly Tofu at Bi Tan!

Here's me being very retarded with the Tofu (posted on Ig too)
1// Take pic with the legendary tofu
2//Pretend eating the legendary tofu
3// Time to eat the tofu!!
4// Why so difficult to eat the tofu!?!?!

There's a couple that has been selling Wild Boar Sausages for more than 30 years!! *claps claps*
The husband is super sweeeeet .
As the wife cooks the sausages, he flips them and wipes her perspiration. :')

Had Blueberry Cheese Crepes cause I was craving for NYP's Blueberry Cheese waffles hehe!
PS// you can customize the crepes with whatever ingredients they have!
PSS// It's beside a Sri Lanka Cafe

Moving on, we shared a cab with 2 other tourists up to Wu Lai.
You can choose to take a bus ride uphill. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
We chose a cab instead because we shared with 2 other tourists and it takes about 40 minutes to reach.

Mandatory tourist shot while we were walking uphill.

Famous Ma Ya Tang (麦芽糖) stall in Wu Lai!
The 'boss' will 'make' the candy right in front of your eyes!!!
It's super cool imo. Apart from the fact that you'll see, dust and dirt getting trapped in the candy.

We continued walking up hill and we wanted to view the Wu Lai Waterfall.
It claimed to be the tallest waterfall in Taiwan.
You walked uphill for about 30 minutes till we caught a glimpse of the waterfall.

After walking a long way uphill, we decided to rest in one of the Hot Spring spa resorts
We paid NT$1200 for 1.5 hours.

After which, we decided to take the bus downhill. Worst decision made.
Took a train back to Xi Men Station and back to our hotel.

For day 5, we visited Bi Tan and Wu Lai.

Till Day 6 xx
